Teachers of Deaf/Hard of Hearing

The Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) prepares lessons and modifications of instructional materials according to the individual needs of the student(s).  This is accomplished through incorporating language, and auditory skills, and teaching self-advocacy strategies The DHH also demonstrates the knowledge and application of the concepts, processes, and facts necessary to the proper implementation of IEP goals and objectives.  The Teacher of the Deaf-Hearing Impaired confers with parents, administrators & school staff.
